Factor 4: Value beyond the assessment itself- Is the student truly learning in their own way? Are they getting something out of this assignment that is
meaningful and easy for them to understand. Do they feel successful and in control of their learning?
Student-Constructed Response- What does the child actually bring to the table with their work? What effort was applied to the assignment?
Realistic Focus- Having students use resources available to them that they will need in real life situations.
Multiple Data Sources- Students learn in different ways. Given the opportunity, they will choose to show their understanding of a skill
differently.(ie. graphs, written, pictures, newspapers, websites).
Reliability- making sure that all students address they same goal....no matter how they express themselves.
Multidimensional in Structure- shows different dimensions of assessment, allowing for students to show a combination of skills and knowledge.
